Streambank Stabilization

With citizens constantly crossing through the creek and a new sewer running under the creek, the stream crossing at Valley Park was a much needed and requested feature for the well-used Valley Park in Lexington, KY. The crossing was created on Vaughn’s Branch to make the park accessible to more citizens and to protect a sewer line crossing under the creek. This project was funded by LFUCG (Lexington Fayette Urban County Government) and designed and built by EcoGro. The project involved retrofitting the stream banks for stability, adding steppingstones/rock for the crossing, regrading, and replanting the stream buffer areas with native species.
