Rain Garden and Stormwater Drainage Improvements

Continuing from successful stormwater BMPs installed at its Lexington facility, Coca Cola hired EcoGro to design and construct stormwater improvements at its Wichita Kansas distribution facility. The property had suffered from persistent problems with runoff. Issues ranged from leaks along roof valleys, undersized downspout pipes and standing water in loading dock wells. The EcoGro team upgraded the drainage system and included a massive ¾ acre rain garden. This stormwater BMP is built to treat runoff from nearly 8 acres of the property’s impervious surfaces. A selection of native Kansas grasses and wildflowers will filter out non-point pollutants washing off the asphalt parking lot, sidewalks and rooftop.

Key Features:

  • Design and construction
  • Site drainage Improvements
  • Runoff reduction
  • Water quality BMPs
