Erosion and Sediment Control

Pond Creek in Crockett County, Tennessee resembled a straightened ditch. A section of private property was acquired by the West Tennessee River Basin Authority to provided space to recreate floodplain access, increase sinuosity, improve in-stream habitat, and reestablish native riparian buffers. EcoGro was hired to install sediment control structures, erosion control blanket and crimped straw mulch as well as native grass, wildflower and annual cover crop seed. The project restored nearly ½ mile of stream and created nine acres of floodplain.

Key Features:

  • Biodegradable erosion control blanket
  • Riparian buffer
  • Native plants
  • Filtrexx® compost-based sediment controls
