Pond Bank Stabilization

EcoGro was contracted by the Woodfield Homeowners Association to provide an attractive solution to address an eroding pond edge. A large volume of water running off the main roads was washing sediment into the pond, degrading both the bank stability and water quality. EcoGro’s solution was to establish a riparian buffer of Kentucky native grasses and wildflowers to hold the soil together, filter out pollutants, provide visual interest and offer aquatic wildlife habitat.

Key Features:

  • Compost erosion controls
  • Terraseeding
  • Riparian buffer
  • Native plants
