Rainfall Harvest System and Rain Garden
To continue Coca-Cola’s commitment to clean water, the Lexington Coca-Cola facility was awarded a grant from the city of Lexington to expand water quality innovations at their facility. LFUCG is also promoting this project to the US EPA as an example of developing “Green” infrastructure for water quality. The Stormwater Replenish Project was a design/build approach to showcase water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs). To support Coca-Cola’s corporate goals for watershed stewardship, EcoGro designed and installed a series of four BMPs to reduce stormwater runoff, filter out pollutants and recharge groundwater supplies.
